It’s better quality than I expected.
Posted by JP on 18th May 2019
While it may not be the best gi that ever existed, for a entry-level gi, it sure feels great and it better than the ones I used to wear. It has this unique crispness to it even after washing the gi. Furthermore, it’s really comfortable to wear and very sturdy to say the least. I hope that you continue to be the best that you are Tokaido!
TOKAIDO note: Very incisive review, thank you. -

I purchased this for my 9 years old kid and looks fantástic. I am thinking on a tokaido gi for me and not sure if this gi would be the best for me or the Shikoku Taw . Is the cut similar and the cotton ? Or maybe the yakudo . I am not sure.
TOKAIDO note: Thank you for the review and we are happy that you are satisfied. The TAW is medium weight and the TSA Yakudo is heavyweight. Both are made in Japan from the highest quality Japanese cotton and a different cut than the Ibuki. -
Really nice trainig Gi at a fantastic, unreal price!

Just received my Ibuki today, along with my Yakudo.
I'm very very happy with both of them, but I'm especially happy with the Ibuki.
Really nice gi, cotton feels great, size is great and provides a great fit - I ordered half a size bigger - and for the price, it's impossible to beat. The quality is astounding, the feel and the sharpness of the gi is there. I have to say that I even like it better than my Yakudo because of the fitting of the jacket. It's a gi that stands on a class of its own.
Thank you very much, Tokaido!
Arigato Gozaimashita!!!

Ibuki my first Jap gi.

After few month of using, I still like this gi. It feel good on it. The cut are just nice for me. Except that surprise that one of the string detached a bit and require to re-sew. For its bottom pant, extra elastic band that come with it. It's good for an option to use. This is really something to praise. There is reasonably good snapping sound for this gi when performing tsuki and geri. If you iron the gi, it's sound is even better.
TOKAIDO note: Thank you for your detailed review. -
Nice uniform

This is my first Tokaido uniform and it is better than I expected, I don't like heavyweight uniforms and for me this is perfect, it looks great for kata and at the same time great for kumite. I'm 1.70 m @ 73 kg and I had to make some adjustments but it is a great product.
Thank you for your review. We are happy with this uniform that is made in Pakistan. We can only imagine how you will feel if you own a Japan made TOKAIDO. -
IBUKI TU1 STUDENT UNIFORM Review
Posted by Todd Kentzel on 8th Aug 2018
Excellent quality at an affordable price. I prefer medium weight gis and this material is a perfect weight IMO. If you are a thinner framed person this gi is an excellent option. I am a bit bigger so I bought a larger size anticipating some shrinkage. I just received it so I'm interested to see how it washes and wears over time, but would definitely recommend anyone to give it a try.

Good quality at affordable price

This budget gi has good fitting, weight and comfortable to wear. After few washing (light detergent and natural hang dry), it shrinks by about 5%. The Embroidery on chest, jacket and pants are of excellent quality.
