The Grand Master BLH is our absolute finest. The Grand Master is made with a non-woven fabric (不織布) core , covered with an outer layer of special high grade silk. Available in standard and extra width. For EXTRA WIDTH belts choose one size longer so that the embroidery will not be lost in the knot when tied. The Grand Master is designed to last and wear down slowly giving it a time honored feel.
Custom Embroidery
Tokaido Japan provides the highest quality embroidery in Japanese or English. No company can surpass the level of embroidery perfected by Tokaido.
The secret in the manufacturing of our belts is that the parts are cut and embroidered separately before being assembled and sewn together. This is the reason why they are so strong, neat and beautifully finished. The embroidery will not show through on the reverse side. This is the hallmark of a true, Made in Japan - Tokaido Black Belt.
In TOKAIDO’s continuing commitment to quality and customer service we have decided to add 3 font options for our black belt embroidery. Below from left to right we are offering:
Left Choice 昇龍 translated as “Rising Dragon”. (Default font)
Middle Choice 太行書 translated as “Bold Cursive”.
Right Choice 龍神 translated as “Dragon God”.
Each kanji font has it’s own character with the Left Choice described as crisp and clear, the Middle Choice characterized as strong and bold, and the Right Choice as sophisticated and detailed. TOKAIDO is happy to provide this choice and we hope you will appreciate these new options.
Please note: the Left Choice 昇龍 “Rising Dragon” is the default font and will be used if neither of the other two are chosen.
You may choose to embroider your style name and/or your personal name. For Japanese text, please select from the pop up menus by clicking on the Kanji Style Names or the Names in Japanese Katakana below the field that you desire. If your Style or Name is not in the menu then use this Google Translate link https://translate.google.com/#en/ja/ to CREATE and then COPY and PASTE into the field(s) you desire. We will confirm that the translation is correct before production. If you prefer English/Roman letters, then type directly in the field(s) of your choice.
Production Time
As with all kuruoobi that are made in Japan by Tokaido Japan, each uniform is made as it is ordered. This way we can ensure that you receive the best belt possible. Currently un-embroidered belts require 3 weeks and embroidered belts require 6 weeks.

Black belt master embroidered

The belt arrived on time. It was just as I ordered, nice quality. The company have communicated well with regards to production status and delivery. The only thing is they do not sell a box that will accommodate this belt which is a shame as I would be happy to purchase one from them. I would suggest that after spending a significant amount of money on the belt I would have been happy to invest in a suitable belt box for it. The belt came in a clear plastic bag which was a little disappointing. However the belt itself is first class, the company are good to deal with, I highly recommend them and have bought another belt from them as well.

Very beautiful obi and excellent craftsmanship! The Kanji-embroidery in font "Dragon God" is absolutely awesome and a real eye-catcher that makes the belt stand out of the crowd of other belts. For a belt of this quality, style (and price), I would suggest to deliver it in a nice box instead of a plastic bag. That would give it the ambience it deserves.
Customer service is excellent and every detail is double-checked to avoid any errors. Japanese perfection - Thanks!

This is my 4th time ordering from them and each time was a satisfied buy. Especially during my last order where I have complicated embroidery requests, Dan and his team took the extra mile to check with the factory and ensure that all customisations are in order. I am seriously addicted to all of Tokaido’s products. This is my second belt purchased from Tokaido. I purchased the cotton version about 2 years ago which I am still using. Just like my first one, this belt is amazing. The level of details they put on the embroidery left me speechless. Thank you so much for such a great product.

This belt was ordered as a special present. I had to alter it slightly and Tokaido Customer Service were really helpful and ensured I got exactly what I needed. It arrived well within the time expected even with the alteration. The quality is fabulous, the embroidery is crisp and clear, to say I'm thrilled with it is an understatement!!!! Am really looking forward to this being presented and am sure it will be proudly worn.
